What is it like to spend Thanksgiving with President-elect Donald Trump? Well, videos posted to social media show that this year it included “YMCA” sing-alongs with Elon Musk.
“Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!” said Musk when he shared one of them on his social media site X.
CNN reported that Yaakov Safar, a French jewelry designer who was invited to Mar-a-Lago as a guest on Thanksgiving, captured the video. Safar told the outlet that Trump and Musk went around the crowded room to greet guests.
It shows Trump patting Musk on the back before the billionaire tech mogul breaks out into some (seated) dancing. Then, the camera pans to show Trump’s wife Melania and their son, Barron, sitting at the same table during the Thanksgiving festivities at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fla.
“Barron and Elon in great discussions on a lot of subjects, and the joy was enormous,” said Safar.
As Trump campaigned for the White House, The Village People’s “YMCA” was played often at his rallies. His dance moves received media attention and re-creating them has even become a trend among NFL players.
Musk, a South African entrepreneur known as the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has become a close advisor to Trump after formerly supporting Democratic candidates in the U.S. Trump has even named Musk, along with Vivek Ramaswamy, to be the leads of the new Department of Government Efficiency.
According to reports, Musk wasn’t the only high-profile guest at the Mar-a-Lago celebration. Fox News reported that there were 300 people in attendance and that the dinner cost $350 per person to attend. Sylvester Stallone and former Patriots coach Bill Belichick were also in attendance, said Fox. Other songs on the Mar-a-Lago playlist included Trump rally favorite “Ave Maria” and Elvis Presley songs.
