Former President Donald Trump took yet another jab at his former attorney general, Bill Barr, on Wednesday night, mockingly accepting the endorsement that Barr gave him.

Barr, who hasn’t shied away from taking his own shots at Trump, said this week that he would support the GOP presidential ticket even if Trump is named the candidate.

“I think it’s my duty to pick the person I think would do the least harm to the country,” Barr told Fox News. “And in my mind, that’s — I will vote the Republican ticket.”

After hearing the support, Trump took to his social media company, Truth Social, to share his thoughts on the situation.

“Wow! Former A.G. Bill Barr, who let a lot of great people down by not investigating Voter Fraud in our Country, has just Endorsed me for President despite the fact that I called him ‘Weak, Slow Moving, Lethargic, Gutless, and Lazy’ (New York Post!),” Trump posted. “Based on the fact that I greatly appreciate his wholehearted Endorsement, I am removing the word ‘Lethargic’ from my statement. Thank you Bill.”

While Trump has yet to be named the Republican presidential nominee, he is expected to be on the November ballot for the GOP for the third presidential election in a row.

During Trump’s final two years in office, Barr served as his attorney general, and while Trump praised him during his tenure, his refusal to declare voter fraud in the 2020 election saw the former president turn on him.

Barr has since been vocal about the charges brought against Trump while also speaking against the rhetoric that he shares.

When Trump was indicted for mishandling classified documents, Barr compared him to a “defiant 9-year-old kid.”
