After being actively involved the first two times, Ivanka Trump says she has no plans to be involved in her dad's latest campaign for president.

The 41-year-old issued a statement to CNN on Tuesday, just minutes after her father announced another run for the White House -- a campaign kickoff she did not attend.

"I love my father very much," Ivanka said. "This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics."

"While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena," she added.

Ivanka, who served as a full-time presidential adviser to her father, said she was "grateful to have had the honor of serving the American people." She also said she "will always be proud of many of our Administration's accomplishments."

CNN previously reported that Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner would not campaign on behalf of Donald Trump.

"(Ivanka) would never go back to that life," a person "familiar with her thinking" told the network. "She knows it's not something that would serve her or her family at this point."

Donald Trump on Tuesday announced that he will seek the Republican nomination and run for president in 2024, aiming to become only the second US president ever elected to two nonconsecutive terms and marking his third campaign in as many presidential elections.

Trump started his speech saying that "America's comeback starts right now." He touched on several topics, including the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, current inflation rates, the energy industry, the southern border, and more. On all of the issues, Trump boasted that he had successfully taken care of them, only to have them struggle once he left office.

"The world was at peace, America was prospering, and our country was on track for an amazing future — because I made big promises to the American people and, unlike other Presidents, I kept my promises," Trump said.

The announcement came after a year of speculation on Trump's future political plans.
