As crowds gathered at a convention complex in National Harbor, Md., ahead of Donald Trump’s Saturday speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference, the former president took to his Truth Social account to congratulate his longtime advisor Kellyanne Conway.

“Congratulations to Kellyanne Conway on her DIVORCE from her wacko husband, Mr. Kellyanne Conway,” he said in the Friday post, adding that, “it will be a great life without the extremely unattractive loser by her side!”

He was referring to George Conway, a conservative attorney who co-founded the anti-Trump organization The Lincoln Project. According to a Page Six report, Kellyanne and George decided to divorce after being married for 22 years and having four children together.

“Beltway insiders tell us that they’ve both lawyered up and that the two sides are hashing out the details of the split,” said the outlet.

Kellyanne Conway served as Trump’s campaign advisor and manager during his successful 2016 campaign. She continued to advise Trump after the election and her husband continued to criticize the president on social media.

During his speech Saturday, Trump is expected to continue to separate his “Make America Great Again” movement from other conservatives, such as “Bush-era Republicans,” according to an Axios report. His address is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET and is expected to last 90 minutes, said the outlet.

“Trump has completely remade the party since he’s become president,” said a Trump aide cited by Axios. “He realized there’s a difference between what grassroots activists thought and what Bush Republicans in Washington, D.C., were trying to enact.”

A video Trump shared on his Truth Social account may also provide insight into what he plans to talk about during the address. In the campaign video, he mentioned investing in the production of “vertical takeoff and landing vehicles for families and individuals” as well as lowering the cost to build new homes and buy cars, “baby bonuses to help launch a new baby boom”, “getting rid of ugly buildings” and “building towering monuments.”

According to Axios, crowds at CPAC are smaller than they have been in the past, though they are very pro-Trump. Poll results released Sunday by Fox News found that Trump was in the lead of the GOP’s 2024 potential presidential candidates with 43%, followed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis with 28%. However, there have been reports of some key supporters backing away from Trump.

Echelon Insights poll results released Friday found that 47% respondents of respondents would vote for President Joe Biden if he ran against Trump in 2024, compared to 44% who would vote for Trump. That same same poll found that 47% would vote for DeSantis if he ran against Biden instead of Trump, leaving Biden with 44%.
