Getting an order wrong isn't always life and death, but it almost was for one worker who was shot in the face by two women for missing a hamburger in their order in Wisconsin.

The two women, Bryanna Johnson and Breanta Johnson, made their initial appearance in Milwaukee County court on Monday, according to Fox 6.

Now, both of the 20-year-olds have been charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide for the shooting that occurred at the George Webb restaurant in Wauwatosa on Jan. 30.

According to a criminal complaint, when police arrived, they found the worker lying on the ground next to the cash register. The 26-year-old victim had a gunshot wound to the right side of his face.

A restaurant employee shared with police that the two women were in a group of four and were "impatient and rude" while waiting for their food. Because of this, they were asked to leave.

One of the women obliged but then quickly returned to her group, who were all standing near the register, the complaint said.

It was then that one woman punched the victim, and the "other woman pulled out a handgun and fired one round at (the victim) striking him in the face while (the victim) was lying on the ground."

As for how things escalated, police reported that the victim said one of the women's orders was missing a hamburger, WISN reported.

The man shot suffered severe injuries from the bullet wound but was recovering and in stable condition a day after the incident, Fox 6 reported.

A GoFundMe has been set up for the injured worker and has already raised almost $25,000.
