Tina Smith is currently projected to win and retain her Minnesota state senate seat against Republican challenger Jason Lewis, who lost to Angie Craig for the Minnesota second Congressional District seat in 2018.
With 3,544 of the 4,110 voting precincts reporting, Smith is set to retain her seat as senator next to fellow Democratic Minnesota Senator Amy Klobachar.
Smith was first elected as Minnesota state senator in 2018 after becoming the democratic nominee when Al Franken resigned from office due to several allegations of sexual misconduct.
Currently Smith has 1,401,953 votes for 49.55% of the total votes counted.
