
A northern Minnesota pharmacist was cleared of charges that he violated a women's rights when he refused to give her a birth control prescription because of religious beliefs.
An Aitkin County jury also decided to award Andrea Anderson $25,000 for emotional harm.
Anderson's attorneys say they'll appeal the acquittal.
George Badeaux testified that he refused to fill the prescription because he felt using the drug had to potential to end a life.
The jury deliberated more than 20 hours on Thursday and Friday before the verdict came down yesterday.
The trial took place in front of a six-person jury in Aitkin and began on Monday.
