More repair work is needed on the Vikings' billion-dollar football stadium, and it's going to cost a chunk of change to fix.

No public funds will be used for this latest round of repairs.

All last year, crews replaced black zinc panels on the outside of US Bank Stadium that had sustained water damage.

It's a lingering problem since the stadium opened in 2016.

Now, workers are going back in to fix water leakage in the facility's moisture barriers. When the repairs are done, the new barriers will keep the stadium dry.

The price tag is $800,000, which is far below the $3.2 million sought by Mortenson Construction.

The money comes from a contingency fund that now has less that $1 million.

The repair amount was settled in mediation last week, and work starts in February.
