Minneapolis city leaders are getting ready to look into the MPD's police pursuit policy.
This comes less than a week after an innocent motorist was killed in a crash involving an officer chasing a suspect.
In a statement, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey called the crash that killed Leneal Frazier a "horrific tragedy."
He noted the MPD last updated its pursuit policy in 2019, and that this review is independent of the investigation into the crash.
Officials say the Minneapolis Police Department constantly reviews its policies to determine if anything is needed to strengthen them.
