Hundreds made their way to the southern Minnesota town of Truman Saturday to pay their respects to the late Jim Hagedorn.
The first district congressman died Feb. 17 after battling kidney cancer.
He was 59.
The public visitation at St. Paul's Lutheran Church was followed by a private funeral service and burial.
Truman is near the family farm where Hagedorn grew up.
The Republican was first elected to congress in 2018 and was elected to a second term in 2020.
A special election will choose a successor to fill out the final months of his term.
