According to a recent report, businessman Marc Lore and former MLB player Alex Rodriguez have signed and submitted financial documentation to complete their acquisition of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Lore And Rodriguez have been in the process of purchasing the controlling stake in the Timberwolves for the last few years but now appear to be in the home stretch, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor agreed to sell the team to the duo in 2021, and the process included them first owning a minority share of the franchise.

Lore and Rodriguez have since become avid attendees of Timberwolves games, working to make an impact on the team.

"It's been great! Alex and I have had a lot of fun," Lore shared with News Talk 830 WCCO in 2022 after the team clinched a spot in the NBA play-in tournament. "It's been great getting to know the players, getting to know the coach, Sachin, and you know Becky and Glen have been great partners throughout this. We've learned a ton."

This is a breaking story that will be updated as more information becomes available.
