Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - With preparations well underway for the 2025 season opener this coming Sunday night at Highmark Stadium, the Buffalo Bills have announced their leadership group for the upcoming campaign.
For a second-consecutive season, the Bills will lean on a pair of leaders, one on each side of the football, as quarterback Josh Allen and linebacker Terrel Bernard will be the designated captains once again in 2025.
This is now Allen's seventh-straight season serving as team captain after being Buffalo's first-round pick (seventh overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft. Allen is also the reigning NFL MVP, having won the award after helping the Bills to a 13-4 finish to the year and a trip back to the AFC Championship Game.
As for Bernard, this is his second season serving as captain on defense. This also comes after the 26-year-old signed this offseason to a new contract extension that will keep him in Buffalo through the 2029 season.
Live wall-to-wall coverage of the Bills and Ravens on WGR gets started this coming Sunday at 1 p.m. Kickoff is slated for 8:20 p.m., and can be heard with Chris Brown, Eric Wood and Sal Capaccio on the call of the game.
