Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - With the 2024 regular season now in the books, the list of opponents for the Buffalo Bills have officially been finalized for the 2025 regular season.
The Bills are slated to play nine home games next season in the final year at Highmark Stadium before the team moves into their new facility across the street in 2026. Among the matchups at their friendly confines in Orchard Park include:
- Miami Dolphins
- New York Jets
- New England Patriots
- Baltimore Ravens
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Kansas City Chiefs
- Philadelphia Eagles
- New Orleans Saints
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
While it's possible the Bills and Ravens are destined to meet in the playoffs this January in Orchard Park, the last time Baltimore played a game at Highmark Stadium came in the 2020 AFC Divisional Round. That game saw the Bills earning a 17-3 win to punch their ticket to the AFC Championship Game against the Chiefs.
The Bengals will return to Buffalo for the first time since they beat the Bills in the 2022 AFC Divisional Round in the snow at Highmark Stadium. Cincinnati would end up going to Kansas City the following week, where they fell short of a return trip to the Super Bowl.
The most recent trip for the Chiefs to Orchard Park came this season in Week 11, where Josh Allen put up a statement performance for the Bills in a 31-20 win. It was also the eighth time the Bills and Chiefs met in a game since Allen and Patrick Mahomes have been in the league together.
Pending the outcome of each team's playoff matchups, there is a chance this game in 2025 could feature a rematch of the 2024 AFC Championship Game in Kansas City.
It has been six years since the Eagles last made the trip to Western New York to take on the Bills. The last instance came in 2019 when Philadelphia ran all over Buffalo at Highmark Stadium in a 31-13 victory.
The Bills have gone winless in their last three matchups with the Eagles, with the last victory coming during the 2011 season in Orchard Park.
It has been eight seasons since the Saints were last in Buffalo to play a game against the Bills. That contest saw New Orleans curb stomp Buffalo in a 47-10 final score at Highmark Stadium.
Buffalo did manage to earn a Thanksgiving prime-time win four years later at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
As for the Buccaneers, it'll be their second time playing in Buffalo over the last three seasons in 2025. Their last trip to Orchard Park resulted in a 24-18 loss to the Bills on "Thursday Night Football".
Meanwhile, Buffalo will be on the road eight times in 2025 that will feature a couple of short road trips against teams in the AFC North. This includes matchups with:
- Miami Dolphins
- New York Jets
- New England Patriots
- Cleveland Browns
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Houston Texans
- Atlanta Falcons
- Carolina Panthers
It has been six seasons since Buffalo's most recent trip Cleveland. That game saw the Bills falling just short to the Browns in a low-scoring, 19-16 affair at Huntington Bank Field.
Buffalo's most recent matchup with the Browns came in 2022 when both teams were forced to play at Ford Field in Detroit after another November snowstorm in Western New York buried Orchard Park in nearly seven feet of snow.
After four-straight trips to Orchard Park, including a playoff matchup last season, the Steelers will get the chance to host the Bills for the first time since the 2019 campaign. That contest saw Buffalo earning a victory over Duck Hodges under center, helping clinch Buffalo a spot in the playoffs for the first time in the Josh Allen era.
It'll be a return trip for the Bills to Houston in 2025 after falling earlier in the 2024 season to the Texans, 23-20, at NRG Stadium. It was a sloppy game for both sides of the ball in Week 5, with the Texans eventually winning the game thanks to a last-second 59-yard field goal kick from Ka'imi Fairbairn.
As for the matchups with the Falcons and Panthers, the Bills have not been to either Atlanta nor Charlotte since the 2017 season, the first under head coach Sean McDermott. While the Bills earned a surprising Week 4 win in Atlanta, the team was not so fortunate two weeks prior in Carolina in a 9-6 loss.
The 2025 regular season schedule will formally be announced sometime in May after the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay.
