Bills re-sign cornerback Dane Jackson to one-year deal

Jackson was the final remaining restricted free agent to be signed by Buffalo

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills have signed all three of their restricted free agents this offseason for the upcoming 2023 season. The last player to sign his deal was cornerback Dane Jackson, who officially inked a one-year deal with the Bills on Friday.

The 26-year-old is coming off a 2022 season in Buffalo playing 15 games, starting 14 of those contest at cornerback with 57 tackles, one tackle for loss, 12 passes defended and two interceptions. In two playoff games played, Jackson made four tackles and had one pass defended.

In his three seasons with the Bills after being a seventh-round draft pick (239th overall) in the 2020 NFL Draft, Jackson has accounted for 37 games played, 113 total tackles, two tackles for loss, 23 passes defended and three interceptions.

Jackson will likely compete for the CB2 spot on the roster again in 2023 along with 2022 first-round pick Kaiir Elam. Jackson filled in as CB1 in 2022 as veteran Tre'Davious White recovered from a torn ACL suffered on Thanksgiving in 2021 against the New Orleans Saints.
