Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills announced on Thursday the release of veteran wide receiver Cole Beasley.
Thursday's release comes after the Bills failed to find a trade partners after Beasley was allowed to seek a trade. The 32-year-old is now free to sign as an unrestricted free agent.

Beasley spent three seasons with the Bills, accumulating 227 receptions for 2,407 yards and 11 touchdowns. In his 2020 season, Beasley was named a Second-Team All-Pro after posting a career year with 82 receptions for 967 yards and four touchdowns.
This past season saw Beasley take a step back in his game, as he caught 82 passes, but only averaged 8.5 yards per-reception and scored one touchdown.
Beasley's release will now free up $6 million in salary cap space just one day after the Bills splashed in free agency with the signing of pass rusher Von Miller.
