The Buffalo Bills announced on Tuesday that 13 players have signed reserve/future contracts for the 2021 season.

A majority of the players signed on Tuesday were players on the practice squad at the end the 2020 season. Those players included tackle Trey Adams, tight end Nate Becker, defensive tackle Brandin Bryant, defensive end Bryan Cox Jr., wide receiver Tanner Gentry, cornerback Dane Jackson, defensive end Mike Love, safety Josh Thomas, running back Christian Wade, quarterback Davis Webb, running back Antonio Williams and wide receiver Duke Williams.

Just four of the 16 players that finished the season on the practice squad were able to walk as free agents - wide receiver Kenny Stills, running back Devonta Freeman, offensive lineman Jonnotthan Harrison and kicker Tristan Vizcaino.

However, the Bills did bring back one familiar name on a reserve/future contract in wide receiver Jake Kumerow. Kumerow was added to the practice squad just before the start of this season, but then was claimed off waivers by the New Orleans Saints after Buffalo's Week 15 win over the Denver Broncos.

Along with Kumerow, a number of other players signed on Tuesday were able to get into game action this season, including Cox, Bryant, Jackson, Love, Josh Thomas and Antonio Williams. The NFL allowed teams this season to elevate players from the practice squad to have them available for game days each week, and those players did get a chance to suit up for the Bills here-and-there.

One player who was exempt from being elevated from the practice squad or signed to the active roster this season was Wade, who was in the second year of the NFL's International Player Pathway program. Heading into the 2021 season, Wade will no longer be eligible to take part on the International Player Pathway program, but he will likely be back at training camp to have a shot at making the 53-man roster or the practice squad again.
