The injury news surrounding wide receiver Cole Beasley is not too good, as head coach Sean McDermott said on Tuesday that he will be out on a "week-to-week" basis with a leg injury.

Beasley suffered the injury late in Buffalo's 38-9 blowout win of the New England Patriots on Monday night in Foxboro. He went down awkwardly on a pass intended for him in the fourth quarter, and was later seen walking to the locker room with a trainer.

McDermott did not go into the extent of Beasley's leg injury, nor did he say if his status for the playoffs is, at all, in any jeopardy.

The 31-year-old is in the middle of his best season in the NFL with the Bills, recording career-highs in receptions (82), targets (107), receiving yards (967) and yards per-catch (11.8). He's also added four touchdown receptions in his 15 games played this season.

The Bills were already without wide receiver John Brown on Monday, who was activated from Injured Reserve with an ankle injury, but then placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list after being deemed a close contact of running back T.J. Yeldon, who tested positive for the coronavirus on Sunday.

Buffalo also lost another receiver this past Friday when Jake Kumerow was claimed off of waivers by the New Orleans Saints. The team was hoping to re-sign Kumerow to the practice squad after waiving him on Thursday with the anticipation of activating Brown from I.R.

The Bills are still sitting well at wide receiver, for now, with Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, Isaiah McKenzie and Andre Roberts still on the active roster. Buffalo also has second-year wideout Duke Williams available to them on the practice squad.
