Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - After a 24-18 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night, the Buffalo Bills will now have 10 days before their next game: An important AFC matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals on "Sunday Night Football" at Paycor Stadium.
That will also give players dealing with any injuries more time to heal up, including quarterback Josh Allen, who entered the team's medical tent on the sidelines during the second quarter on Thursday to have his right shoulder examined.
Allen never did miss a play in the game.
During a Zoom call with the media on Friday, head coach Sean McDermott said Allen was sore, but gave no indication of anything more serious.
"I felt we came out pretty clean, other than Josh's shoulder yesterday, which is sore at this point," McDermott said.
The head coach added that tight end Quintin Morris (ankle) and linebacker Baylon Spector (hamstring) continue to improve. Both missed Thursday night's game with their injuries.
"We'll see where they go with the days ahead here," McDermott said.
Prior to the game, the Bills placed tight end Dawson Knox on Injured Reserve after he underwent wrist surgery. That move leaves the Bills with an open spot on the 53-man active roster.
The NFL Trade Deadline is set for Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET.
