Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The 2022 NFL season kicked off Thursday night in Los Angeles with quite the showing from the Buffalo Bills. Led by the likes of Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs and newcomer Von Miller, the Bills were able to take down the defending Super Bowl champion Rams in dominating fashion.
One of Buffalo's four touchdowns on the evening came from slot wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie, who scored the go-ahead touchdown for the Bills early in the third quarter with a seven-yard strike from Allen.
The Bills' longest tenured wide receiver in the locker room joined the "Howard and Jeremy Show" on Tuesday morning, as he discussed a number of topics following Thursday's season-opening victory.

Heading into the 2022 season, it was McKenzie's first chance to earn a starting role on the roster, taking over the spot occupied by Cole Beasley over the past few years. Bills head coach Sean McDermott gave McKenzie that opportunity, and the 27-year-old is trying to take everything in stride.
“I would say I’ve grown tremendously, whether it’s running routes, catching the football, learning defenses, learning the plays on offense. I feel like every year I’ve gotten better with my game,” said McKenzie with Howard Simon and Jeremy White.
Although McKenzie made one mistake that led to an interception during the opening quarter of action, he still contributed with three catches for 19 yards, including his touchdown reception that led to a wholesome moment for him and his family.
