Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, taking another step towards his eventual return to the lineup.
The veteran remains on Injured Reserve, but the team can activate him to the 53-man roster by Saturday afternoon, allowing him to play Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers at Highmark Stadium.
If that's not the case this week, the team has three other options for Milano going forward:
1.) Activate him to the 53-man roster by Saturday at 4 p.m. EST, but make him inactive on Sunday. He would then remain on the 53-man roster and could play going forward.
2.) Do not activate him by Saturday at 4 p.m. EST. He then could not play on Sunday, but the Bills could still activate him by next Thursday, Dec. 5, where he'd be eligible to play after that.
3.) Do not activate him by next Thursday. Then he would go back on Injured Reserve and would be ineligible to play for the Bills for the rest of the season.
The Bills currently have only 52 players on their active roster. Any activation of Milano this week would not require a corresponding roster move.
Meanwhile, the only player on the active roster who did not practice on Wednesday was tight end Dalton Kincaid, who is dealing with a knee injury.
