Despite just eight pass attempts in 2021, Mitchell Trubisky could be in store for a nice pay day this offseason.
The free agent quarterback, who spent last year backing up Josh Allen with the Buffalo Bills, could potentially receive $10 million or more annually in a new deal, according to ESPN’s Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler.
Per the report, Trubisky’s reset in Buffalo went very well, and teams who may be interested in drafting a quarterback could sign Trubisky to start while the rookie becomes accustom to the NFL.
Graziano and Fowler list the Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Commanders, New York Giants and Denver Broncos as teams who could express interest in Trubisky.
Another report on Saturday linked the Giants to Trubisky, as well. After spending a season in Buffalo, former Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll is now the head coach for New York, and could potentially compete with Daniel Jones for the starting job.

Trubisky is the former No. 2 overall pick, selected by the Chicago Bears in the 2017 NFL Draft, where he spent his first four seasons in the league.
Despite taking the Bears to the playoffs in two of those seasons, including a Pro Bowl season in 2018, Trubisky’s inconsistency prevented him from taking the necessary steps to become a franchise quarterback.
