After working out free agent running back Darrynton Evans on Monday, the Bills have signed the free agent running back to a contract. Aaron Wilson from KPRC 2 in Houston was the first to report the signing on Monday, while the signing was also confirmed by his agency, Priority Sports on Tuesday.

Evans was a former third-round pick of the Tennessee Titans in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Appalachian State. Evans has also spent time with the Chicago Bears before signing with the Indianapolis Colts this offseason.

He was waived by the Colts in May after spending just over a month with the organization.

Wilson further reported on Monday the Bills held workouts with running backs Abram Smith and Kylin Hill before settling on Evans.
