Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - With just a week before kickoff for the 2025 regular season, the Buffalo Bills appear to have lost a key depth piece to their defensive front.
Bills defensive tackle DeWayne Carter has torn his Achilles tendon and will miss the entire 2025 season, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. His report Sunday night was seemingly backed up by Carter himself via a post and picture on social media.
A third-round draft choice of the Bills out of Duke University in 2024, Carter appeared in 11 games in his rookie season, starting three of them at defensive tackle.
Carter was expected to be a part of the Bills' heavy defensive tackle rotation, especially early in the season with Larry Ogunjobi serving a six-game suspension.
