Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Former Buffalo Bills special team ace Steve Tasker has been named a semifinalist for the Pro football Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2024.

Tasker advanced as part of the voting for the Senior and Coaches/Contributors category of the Hall of Fame.
Throughout his 12-year NFL career, 11 of which with the Bills, Tasker is a team Wall of Fame member, achieving seven Pro-Bowls and five All-Pro honors, predominantly as a gunner on special teams.
Tasker totaled seven blocked punts and 204 special team tackles, and is the only special teams player to ever be named the Most Valuable Player of the Pro Bowl in 1993.
There will be another round of voting near the end of July to cut the list from 31 to 12 before a final vote is made to select three seniors and one coach/contributor as part of the 2024 class.
