Jarrett Hill is an award-winning journalist and host focused on the intersections of pop culture and politics. His 18 years in media span radio, television, print and digital, with a roster that includes The New York Times, NBC News, Buzzfeed, iHeart Radio, Sirius XM Satellite Radio, Fox, TBS, and the UK's ITN. Based in Los Angeles, Jarrett is known, most notably, for breaking the 2016 Melania Trump RNC plagiarism story.
Since then, he has provided perspective and analysis for CNN, MSNBC, Access Live, NBC Nightly News and many others. Today, Jarrett cohosts a daily show, Drop the Subject on Channel Q, the first nationally-syndicated LGBTQ+ FM radio station. Jarrett also contributes to a variety of prominent outlets, including The New York Times, NBC News, Variety, among others. Prior, Jarrett reported from high school and collegiate news outlets, hosted, reported and produced for national and local news, documentaries, and talk shows. This Bay Area native, who was named to the Ebony Power 100 in 2016, currently serves as the Vice President of the National Association of Black Journalists’ Los Angeles Chapter.
