Our hosts, AJ Gibson (The Wendy Williams Show) and Mikalah Gordon (American Idol), The format of the program is entertainment talk blended with celebrity interviews and discussion of the day’s hot topics in news and pop culture.
AJ Gibson is a TV host, author, motivational speaker and social influencer AJ Gibson comes to CHANNEL Q as a multi-hyphenated talent powerhouse. From his small-town Ohio upbringing to his fast paced LA life, AJ Gibson has experienced it all! Since entertaining viewers as a contestant on ABC’s “Expedition Impossible” in 2011 and being singled out as “What To Watch” by TV Guide magazine, AJ has turned his 15 minutes in the spotlight into a successful career in entertainment!
AJ began his television career as the host of Hollywood Today Live on FOX, has filled in as a guest co-host on Access Hollywood Live and spent time as the entertainment anchor of Southern California’s iconic morning chat fest Good Day LA! Currently, you can also catch AJ on The Tamron Hall Show, sitting next to the ladies of The Talk on CBS or giving fans the Inside Scoop on The Wendy Williams Show.
AJ is also Dick Clark Productions official red-carpet host, serving as their correspondent for all of the iconic award shows we know and love such as the Golden Globes, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards and the ACM Awards, to name a few.
In his book, Flipping the Script: Bouncing Back From Life’s Rock Bottom Moments, AJ shares personal stories of how he has been able to shift out of a fear-based mindset into one of abundance and opportunity. He helps others do the same through his keynotes, coaching and workshops. Using his signature M.O.V.E system, AJ helps individuals strengthen their ability to view every experience as an opportunity for growth no matter their current reality.
When AJ isn’t working, you can find him watching Bravo, spending time with his family in Ohio (in that order), or exploring the world with his “boo thang” of 7 years, Emile Ennis Jr.
Mikalah Gordon debuted as the youngest top 12 contestant on season 4 of American Idol, where audiences fell in love with her powerful voice and unique stage presence. She may have lost to Carrie Underwood, but her run on Idol did open a lot of doors, including TV roles and a recording deal with Interscope Records. Mikalah claims her real talent now is managing to wake up for work at the same time she used to go to bed! When she isn’t in the recording studio, auditioning for TV roles, or co-hosting The Morning Beat on CHANNEL Q, you can find her on Instagram @Mikalahgordon doing what she does best, making us laugh!
