Three million people filed for unemployment yesterday. Ally says the unemployment system is as broken as it gets; it's not a fun process and it takes forever to get paid.
Everyone should be receiving their checks within 3 weeks, but Ally and James aren't too confident about that. Individual tax payers, who have an income of up to $75,000 will get a one time $1,200 direct payment and it will be based on your last tax return. If you make more money, you probably won't get as much. If you have a family, you will get an extra $500 for each kid.
Anyone who has direct deposit information with the federal government and that's how you did your taxes then you will see that money a lot faster than others.
