The Biden reelection campaign has launched "Out for Biden-Harris" which is aimed to mobilize "LGBTQ+" voters.
The initiative seeks to tout the Biden administration's achievements for LGBTQ Americans, the Advocate reported. In doing so, the campaign looks to target a "force to be reckoned with."
A video announcing the new initiative shows footage of different queer members of the administration from Secretary Pete Buttigieg to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, and Assistant Secretary for Health Rachel Levine as the VP points out that Biden "elevated LGBTQI+ leaders to every level of the administration."
The initiative plans to host events in key swing states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan.
Over 7 percent of all adults and 22 percent of Generation Z in the United States claim a sexual orientation other than heterosexual, according to a Gallup poll released in March.
