The Fight for LGBTQ+ Veterans to Get Benefits

The healthcare system for the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) provides care to more than nine million veterans. But thousands of service members who have been discharged “dishonorably” for being LGBTQ are not entitled to those benefits. That number was estimated in 2019 to be 100,000 since World War II. So maybe it’s time that this is finally fixed?
