Grammy-winning artist Lil Nas X is breaking his silence following a turbulent week that saw him arrested, hospitalized, and charged with multiple felonies.

In a 28-second video posted to his Instagram Story Monday morning, the rapper—real name Montero Hill—reassured fans:
"Your girl is gonna be OK, y'all… That was terrifying. A terrifying last four days. But your girl is gonna be all right."

The incident unfolded in the early hours of August 21, when police found Lil Nas X wandering the streets of Studio City in his underwear. Officers say he appeared disoriented and was taken into custody on suspicion of a drug overdose. According to NBC News, authorities also claim he struck two officers and resisted arrest, leading to four felony charges—three counts of battery on a police officer and one of resisting arrest.

Nas was hospitalized, held for three days, and released Monday on $75,000 bail. He has since pleaded not guilty and waived his arraignment. As part of his release conditions, he must attend four Narcotics Anonymous meetings weekly.

His attorney, Drew Findling, called for patience, saying, "We're not going to let one event change the trajectory of his amazing life."

His father, Robert Stafford, says his son is recovering mentally and emotionally, adding that illegal drugs were "absolutely not" a factor.

If convicted, Nas could face up to three years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
