It was another late night for devoted Swifties who stayed up for the premiere of Taylor Swift's newest music video, "Lavender Haze," from her latest album Midnights. In the video trans actor Laith Ashley plays the pop star's love interest in the music video, which is a gorgeous visual accompaniment to the song. Laith Ashley, is a model as well as an actor. He's performed in several projects previously including the acclaimed FX series Pose, the reality series Strut, and a music video for drag queen Manila Luzon's song "That's a Man Maury." He also made history by becoming the first transgender model to participate in a campaign for Diesel. The actor was seemingly overjoyed to perform with Swift in the video, and he shared a message for Swift to mark the release.

Prior to the video release, Swift posted an invitation via social media to fans writing "meet me at midnight" with a small preview of the music video. Swift lovers wasted no time filling the comments section with memes, exclamation points and more expressing their excitement to catch the premiere.
From majestic coy fish and late-night scenes to a living room of lavender and streams of haze, the music video transports viewers into another universe. Bringing Swift's creativity to life and taking fans inside her mind as she displays her symbolic lyrics out like magic, the video holds its own as the third from Tay's most-recent album.
The track, which serves as track one on the record-breaking album, is the third to get the music video treatment following lead single "Anti-Hero," and "Bejeweled."
