Taking to the streets of New York City in a pink Lamborghini, Nicki Minaj enlists Fivio Foreign to flex in the visual for their collab single, “We Go Up,” which dropped just last month.

Opting to match her pink lambo by wearing mostly pink monochromatic ensembles throughout the Drevinci-directed music video, Nicki showcases her masterful drill skills as she spits the lyrics, rapping, “Southside Jamaica, we mobbin’ them bricks, so pull up with them blicks / Some of the best shooters out of New York, they don’t play with the Knicks.”
But not before throwing shade at the “b****es” of course — “Get you a vacuum, b****es is messy / Let's see / After all of that surgery, you are still ugly / Now that is what gets me.”
Flexing in designer duds throughout, whether it was a matching set or lingerie and fur coat, paired with boots, sneakers or heels, and always lots of diamond, Nicki slayed every luxurious look.
Proclaiming himself “the king” of New York on the opening verse, Foreign raps “Touch my crown again, b**** / It’s only one king, it’s only one queen, there’s two crowns.” Which he follows up with additional rapid spitting fire in his later verses.
After dropping the visual, Minaj wanted to me sure the response and reception would be to her liking. Threatening her Barbz with delaying the release of her upcoming fifth studio album if the video doesn’t perform as well as she would like it to. Tweeting out the playful threat in the most Minaj way you could possibly imagine.
“If y’all don’t do what needs to be done with the #WeGoUpVideo I will significantly and I DO mean significantly…delay the…the…the…oh what’s the word… oh! the album,” she tweeted. “That’s right. *sighs* the album *devil wears Prada Meryl Streep voice*. 🎀”
