Beloved K-Pop duo, SISTAR19, is back on the scene after seven years away and couldn’t be more excited to bring fans more of the music they love while mixing in some new ideas.

SISTAR19 duo members, Hyolyn and Bora are both original members of K-Pop group, SISTAR, which disbanded in 2017. While the break-up caused many of the members to go their own way, musically, the pair knew they wanted to work on resurfacing their sub-group SISTAR19 - a duo they formed separate from the group in 2011.
After many years away, the comeback is a big one for the pair, but Bora and Hyolyn say it’s one they’ve been waiting for and are ready to come back stronger and more creative than ever. “It doesn’t feel like we’re back after a long time,” Bora shared with Audacy’s Mike Adam. “We feel more dignified together.”
Added Hyolyn, “Our concern is, though we’ve shown a lot already on stage, we will want to show new aspects of SISTAR19, but if we go too far from our original feature, then we might not meet the expectations of the fans who long-awaited [our return].”
Pleasing their loyal fans is a large piece of the puzzle for both Hyolyn and Bora, but making sure they had the blessing of their former SISTAR bandmates was also an important piece.
“There was someone who we wanted to be the first to know about our comeback,” said Bora. “Those were the members of SISTAR. When we told them the news, they congratulated us in the coolest and most chill way. That was the most memorable response.”
With support from their former group and excitement from fans, the pair are ready to challenge themselves musically and inspire those around them. “Music trends are changing very fast, but we thought it would be nice to show the kind of music that we did before,” said Hyolyn. “We prepared the album in older SISTAR19 style in a trendier vibe. I guess we are in a position to show and inspire people again that [way].”
