Paul Pierce declares Celtics-Bucks series is over: 'I don't know where Milwaukee goes from here'

The Truth has spoken, and he says the Celtics-Bucks series is already over. Following Boston's 112-90 drubbing of the Bucks Sunday, Pierce took to the airwaves and proclaimed the top-seeded Bucks are lost.

"I don't know where Mllwaukee goes from here. I think it's over," he said.

The Bucks were certainly overmatched Sunday, as the C's swarmed Giannis Antetokounmpo whenever he stepped foot in the paint. Al Horford deserves most of the credit, though his teammates also often crowded Giannis whenever he reached the rim. The kitchen-sink approach left the Greek Freak with little room to operate at the rim. He shot just 4-for-15 from the paint.

Still, as hopeless as the Bucks looked Sunday, it's a long series and they're a good team. They will probably make adjustments as the games progress. Also, the Celtics shot 54-percent from the field in Game 1. That likely isn't going to be replicated going forward, either. 

But Pierce has seen lots of playoff basketball in his day, and in his eyes, the Celtics are in firm control. They'll take it, given how uneven their season has been. Perhaps Kyrie Irving was right: they just needed the playoffs start.
