Katie Nolan has been in professional hibernation for the last year. While ESPN signed her last October, she doesn't have a regular presence on any of the WorldWide Leader's platforms, outside of her podcast. But that will soon change.

ESPN announced Wednesday Nolan will host her own weekly late-night digital show, "Always Late," which will appear on Twitter. According to ESPN, the program will feature Nolan's "sharp, irreverent and authentic voice" commenting on issues in the world of sports and pop culture.

In other words, it sounds exactly like her old FS1 show, "Garbage Time."

It's apparent ESPN, which reportedly lost 500,000 subscribers in April, is making a big push towards digital under new president Jimmy Pitaro. The WorldWide Leader also announced the creation of five other Twitter shows Wednesday. The two other signature properties are "SportsCenter Live" and "Fantasy Focus Live," a live-stream of the daily podcast hosted by Matthew Berry and others. Three other Twitter offerings, "Hoop Streams," "The College Football Show" and "Rankings Reactions," will launch as well.

In addition to Nolan's late-night duties, she will host ESPN's abbreviated "SportsCenter" for Snapchat.

Nolan rose to national prominence in 2014, when her "Garbage Time" commentary on Ray Rice went viral, drawing more than 400,000 views on YouTube. In it, Nolan argued against boycotting the NFL because of its lenient domestic violence policies.

The following fall, Nolan chastised the Cowboys media for its softball treatment of Greg Hardy, once again asserting herself as a cutting voice in the staid sports media world.

Despite those flashes of brilliance, Nolan never consistently drew an audience for "Garbage Time" on FS1 –– like every other program on the network. The show bounced around numerous time slots and was discontinued in February. At the time, Fox Sports said it would further develop Nolan's role at the company. But she was kept off the air until she was let out of her contract in August.
