Giannis Antetokounmpo has delivered one more blow to the Celtics before moving on to the Eastern Conference Finals. In a media gaggle Tuesday, the Bucks’ star talked about how challenging it will be to eliminate the Raptors, unfavorably using the Celtics as a comparison.
“Against Boston, you can go down 1-0 and still be fine; but against Toronto, it's hard to be in that spot when you lose the first game in your home,” the Greek Freak told reporters.
Ouch. That hurts even more than the 120 points Giannis dropped on the Celtics in Games 2-5.
The Celtics did defeat Milwaukee in Game 1 of their series, dominating the Bucks on both ends of the court. It was Boston’s fifth consecutive playoff win and prompted Paul Pierce to declare the series over.
The Celtics have lots of work to do this offseason, and their first order of business should be repairing their competitive makeup.
