Jimmy Garoppolo recently wined and dined with adult film star Kiara Mia. TMZ filmed the couple clanking glasses in an upscale Beverly Hills restaurant and walking to a car. In other words, it appeared to be a standard dinner date.
Yet, according to crotchety Gerry Callahan and Glenn Ordway, Garoppolo's meal with Mia is an ominous sign for the highest-paid quarterback in history –– for reasons they can't quite articulate.
"Garoppolo, I thought, up until I heard about this relationship he's got going with a 41-year-old porn star, I thought Garoppolo was on the right track," Ordway said Thursday on OMF. "I thought he had his head on, he was a guy who practices."
Callahan echoed Ordway's foolish sentiments on "Kirk & Callahan" Friday, lamenting Garoppolo's "terrible judgment."
It's outrageous to suggest that Garoppolo's date with Mia will lead him down a dangerous path. What's the thinking? First they eat dinner, then co-star in the sequel for "Naughty Nurses?" The leap of faith is asinine.
Mia's work is legal, consensual, and mainstream. She enjoys a massive social media presence, boasting 2.7 million Instagram followers. If Garoppolo were seen eating dinner with a woman who works in another profession, obviously none of these concerns would be surfaced. It's an example of the incredible stigma adult film stars still face.
Star quarterbacks can involve themselves in far more disconcerting summer activities than going on a date in a restaurant. The 49ers have no reason to be worried about their $137.5 million man.
