Josh Rosen says his goal is to win more championships than Tom Brady

UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen has been disparaged for being honest about his draft priorities and millennial status. These criticisms, combined with his decision to wear a "F— Donald Trump" hat at one of the president's golf courses, have propelled anonymous football scouts to question his dedication to football. Makes perfect sense.

Rosen, who's projected to be selected early in the first round of the NFL Draft, attempted to ease the apparent unrest in a recent interview with ESPN the Magazine. When talking about his desire to win, Rosen revealed his goal of capturing even more championships than Tom Brady.

How arrogant!

"I want to be great -- in everything I do," Rosen told Sam Alipour in an interview that will run later this month. "As far as football, I always looked up to Kellen Moore of Boise State. I thought it was the coolest thing that he was the winningest QB of all time. I thought that was a cool word: winningest. So I want to be the winningest QB in NFL history. I want to win the most games and most championships. I'd say six titles, but if Tom Brady gets six, I'll say seven."

Rosen, 21, also elicited Brady's name when touting his skills as a quarterback.

"I'm the best QB in the draft," he said. "A lot of guys are flashier, but I think I'm the most efficient, monotonously consistent QB in this draft. Rodgers has some flair, but if you watch Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, there's nothing that's explosive or Johnny Manziel-like. It's just quarterbacking."

A quarterback who emphasizes winning and downplay flamboyancy would appear to be an NFL executive's dream. But this is Rosen, so it's possible his confident words will be used against him in the public arena.
