Mookie Betts made the most of his down time during the Red Sox' final game of Spring Training. The outfielder conducted a lengthy in-game interview with ESPN during the Red Sox-Cubs matinee Tuesday, providing a running commentary in the top of the third inning. Betts' mouth didn't stop moving, even when Cubs slugger Kris Bryant whacked a triple over his head in right field.

"I ain't getting this one, boys," Betts deadpanned.

Betts also broke perhaps the biggest news of the spring, revealing that Red Sox outfielders won't take part in the victory dance this season. Instead, Betts says he will propose something new.

While extended interviews with players can't occur when the games actually matter, ESPN and other networks would be wise to include more interactive elements in their baseball broadcasts. They go a long way towards showcasing players' personalities, and giving the telecast some pizzazz.

In fact, it's not an exaggeration to say Betts' spot with the ESPN booth was one of the most memorable moments of the spring.
