Mookie Betts is ready for some baseball.
The reigning AL MVP posted an Opening Day hype video on Twitter Monday, just hours ahead of the Red Sox' opener against the Mariners in Seattle. The montage starts with black-and-white coloring before turning to color for an array of season and playoff highlights. The opening clip is Chris Sale striking out Manny Machado on one-knee to end the World Series and the final highlight is Betts galloping to first base after hitting his grand slam against Toronto (the 13-pitch at-bat).
In between, the video shows a snow-covered Fenway Park.

— Mookie Betts (@mookiebetts) March 28, 2019Betts, who will make $20 million this season, is well on his road to stardom. Only two players, Bryce Harper and Aaron Judge, have sold more jerseys than him so far this season. Harper signed a $330 million deal in free agency this offseason, and Betts is seemingly looking to eclipse that figure when his contract expires in two years.
