The NHL is whitewashing Stanley Cup Final history before our very eyes. The league's official account, which routinely posts highlights after big plays, shared video of David Perron's game-deciding third period goal. The only problem is, the video begins following Tyler Bozak's obvious trip of Noel Acciari.
That's right: the NHL edited out the most noteworthy part of the play. Can anybody guess why?

"We don't make comments on judgment calls within games," it reads. "There are hundreds of judgment calls in every game. The official on the play, he viewed it and he didn't view it as a penalty at the time."
Real illuminating stuff. While it is lame to solely blame the Bruins' loss on the officials –– the top line was shut out once again –– it's apparent Rask wasn't expecting play to continue following Acciari's trip. As a result, Perron's shot squeaked off his pads and into the net, giving the Blues a 2-0 lead.
It is a play that forever stand in NHL infamy, at least here in Boston. But one will have to look somewhere else besides the league's official account for an accurate representation of it.
