Tom Brady reached another milestone Tuesday. He followed his 100th person on Twitter. Now it's time to analyze and dissect his follows, because Twitter is all about throwing subtle shade (and Russian bots, trolls, hate speech, hoaxes and harrasment).
Brady started his nascent Twitter account on Monday, debuting with some festive April Fool's humor. "I'm retiring. In my spare time, I'll be tweeting #LFG," he wrote.
Less than an hour later, Brady told on himself. Let's just say his timing is better in the pocket than it is comedically.

— Tom Brady (@TomBrady) April 1, 2019The TB12 brand is now omnipresent across all three major social media platforms, with Brady boasting more than 10.4 million followers on Instagram and Facebook combined. His Twitter page is already up to 317,000 followers in one day.
Given that Brady follows 276 accounts on Instagram, it's likely his follow count on Twitter will increase. But there is always something special about your first … 100, right?
Seven observations are below:
1) TB12 over everything: Brady's first follow went to @TB12Sports, his official brand account. He followed the Patriots second and his wife, Gisele Bundchen, third. Since she has 4.8 million followers, it's unlikely she noticed.
2) Edelman wins BFF battle: Jules was the fourth person Brady followed on Twitter. Gronk was fifth. What's the difference between the two BFFs? One is playing with Brady next season, and the other says he isn't. Ouch.
3) Pats Nation Represent: Brady follows at least 34 current or ex-teammates, including: Edelman, Gronk, Amendola, the McCourty twins, James White, Dont'a Hightower, Kyle Van Noy, LeGarrette Blount, Jacoby Brissett before Jimmy Garoppolo, Chris Hogan, Vince Wilfork, Randy Moss, Wes Welker and Martellus Bennett.
4) TB12 the Lifestyle: The TB12-endorsed lifestyle brands are well-represented, from UnderArmour to Aston Martin. Interestingly enough, Brady follows Canada Goose, which he has worn in the past. It's unlikely Gisele approves.
5) Loves those Boston sports: Brady follows Mookie Betts, David Ortiz, Isaiah Thomas (the little guy is probably stoked) and Kyrie Irving on Twitter. In fact, he follows tons of athletes across all of the sports: Steph Curry, Tiger Woods, Kevin Durant, DeAndre Hopkins.

6) Big win for Barstool: Barstool Sports received the valuable Brady follow. TB12 also followed Scott Zolak and Adam Schefter. That's a healthy media diet.
7) Brady makes his move to Hollywood: His four most recent follows are Bruno Mars, U2, The Rock and Justin Timberlake. Perhaps Brady will share his rendition of "Vertigo" with Bono.
