With bullpen struggles continuing to fester, the
Red Sox are evaluating Blue Jays reliever Daniel Hudson, according to MLB Network's Jon Morosi.

July 21, 2019 Hudson has posted a 2.72 ERA in 43 innings for Toronto this season, but has been excellent since late May, with a 0.93 ERA since May 26. Hudson has held batters to a combined .229/.317/.300 slash line over that time, while giving up just two earned runs over 19.1 innings.
The news comes off the back of a difficult weekend for Boston, with the pitching staff combining to allow 20 runs over 21 innings against an Orioles team with the second-worst record in baseball with Baltimore having scored the fourth-fewest runs of any team.
Nathan Eovaldi is expected to make his relief debut in the coming days, but the Red Sox are still expected to try and make a move before the July 31 trade deadline to bolster a struggling bullpen.
