Report: Mets acquire Marcus Stroman from Blue Jays

One potential Red Sox deadline target is off the market, as the Blue Jays are sending starter Marcus Stroman to the Mets according to MLB Network's Jon Morosi.

The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reported that the Blue Jays are receiving Anthony Kay and Simeon Woods Richardson — the No. 4 and No. 6 prospects in the Mets system — from New York in exchange for Stroman.

Stroman is 6-11 with a 2.96 ERA this season, earning his first career All-Star nod.
