The Patriots are in the midst of the most interesting, important offseason in more than two decades. Tom Brady moved on to Tampa Bay. Bill Belichick remains in place with a veteran roster. There are plenty of questions and even more plentiful opinions regarding the defending AFC East champions. Over the last few weeks WEEI.com has been asking and answering those questions. Today, we conclude by delving into the biggest question of them all.

Today’s Question: Can the QB position actually be better for the Patriots in 2020?

Hannable: Yes, it can. While this answer changed a month ago when Cam Newton was added to the mix, the position can absolutely be better this coming season. Now this is provided Newton is fully healthy and picks up the Patriots system, but everything is pointing towards that being the case. Newton gives Josh McDaniels a number of different options when it comes to calling plays that he hasn't been able to do in recent years. In addition, Newton could make several other players on offense better, especially N'Keal Harry. Harry thrives on making contested catches and Newton isn't afraid to let his receivers go make a play on a 50/50 ball. While Tom Brady is no longer in the picture, it doesn't necessarily mean the QB position will be worse in 2020.
