Bill Belichick unsure if Patriots will attend Colin Kaepernick workout

Arguably the biggest story in football this week is the NFL's out-of-nowhere decision to host a workout for free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

The session for the controversial former 49ers' passer will take place in Atlanta late Saturday afternoon. ESPN first reported word of the workout late Tuesday. Wednesday, a traditional big media day for most teams, various head coaches around the NFL were asked if their team would be in attendance to see Kaepernick work out two-plus seasons since he last played in the league.

Bill Belichick was one of those coaches, though the Patriots' boss deflected the decision on whether New England would attend the event to team director of player personnel Nick Caserio.

"Something to check with Nick on. I'm not sure," Belichick said.

Other NFL teams, including the Lions and Cowboys, have already indicated that they would in fact be at Kaepernick's Saturday workout.
