As the reports and rumors continue to connect the Celtics with would-be Hornets free agent Kemba Walker, Boston’s own restricted free agent Terry Rozier also apparently is drawing interest from a possible new team.
The Post reports that if the Knicks lose out in on Kyrie Irving -- who’s been most closely connected with the Nets at this point as his Celtics career likely comes to an end -- that his Boston backup would be a “prime target” for New York.
“After Kyrie and Kemba, I think Rozier is next up,’’ a source told the Post. “I think he’d be good with Kevin Knox and RJ (Barrett).”
The Knicks, though, reportedly only have significant interest in Rozier as an unrestricted free agent, not looking to tie up cap space through the restricted free agent process.
