According to NFL Network, veteran special teamer Nate Ebner is the latest Patriots player to take advantage of free agency this spring to find a new job.

And, like most of his other former teammates, Ebner is joining a team led by a former Patriots assistant coach.

Ebner has reportedly reached a deal to sign with the New York Giants, who hired former New England special teams coach Joe Judge as their head coach this offseason.

Ebner joined the Patriots as a sixth-round pick out of Ohio State in 2012. He spent all eight of his previous NFL seasons in New England as a core special teamer, all eight with Judge as either his special teams coach or assistant special teams coach. Ebner had double-digit special teams tackles in six of his eight seasons in New England, including a career-high 19 in 2016.
