After struggles in Buffalo, Tom Brady sidesteps Antonio Brown question

Tom Brady and the Patriots offense had a tough day in Sunday's 16-10 win in Buffalo.

The Brady-led passing attack couldn't get much going with any consistency against the Bills talented pass defense.

Brady threw for just 150 yards, completing a mere 18 of his 39 passes with no touchdowns and an ugly goal line interception.

Given the passing game's problems – Julian Edelman was limited due to his chest injury while Phillip Dorsett and Josh Gordon were targeted a combined 16 times leading to just five completions for 56 yards – it's probably not surprising that the name Antonio Brown was brought up in the postgame press proceedings.

The former All-Pro Brown spent just a little more than a week in New England, the Week 2 win in Miami he scored a touchdown on a Brady throw, and his tenure had many speculating about just how productive the Patriots passing game had the potential to be.

So it was that Brady was asked during his postgame press conference after the tough day if there was any part of him that wished he still had Brown to throw to.

"I mean, that's, those types of things aren't…you know I just have to go out there and do the best job I can do," Brady deflected. "I've been trying to do that for 20 years now. It's what I'll try to do next week. It's what I tried to do this week. It's what I tried to do the week before. Hopefully we can go out and do a better job and score more points."

While he didn't really answer the question, the last part is certainly true.
