The NFL’s only two remaining unbeaten teams apparently spent Tuesday upgrading their wide receiving corps.

Just hours after word broke that the Patriots (7-0) are reportedly adding veteran wide receiver Mohamed Sanu from the Falcons, the 49ers (6-0) are reportedly making a deal with the Broncos for Emmanuel Sanders.

While New England reportedly gave up a second-round pick for Sanu, ESPN reports that Sanders and a 2020 Denver fifth-round pick are headed to San Francisco in exchange for third- and fourth-round picks in the 2020 draft.

And another trade:Denver is dealing WR Emmanuel Sanders and a 2020 5th-round pick to San Francisco in exchange for 2020 3rd- and 4th-round picks, per league sources.First Mohamed Sanu, now Sanders....

There were earlier reports that the Patriots had inquired with the Broncos about a possible trade for Sanders, whom New England has coveted for years and actually tried to sign to a restricted free agent contract at one point.

With the additions of Sanu and Sanders the NFL’s two best teams, at least in terms of records, got better heading toward the Oct. 29 trade deadline. Tom Brady and Jimmy Garoppolo both have to be happy with the moves to add weapons to their respective offenses.
